Edusign guidelines for publishing
If you want your application to be accessible to the public, you must respect a number of rules designed to guarantee both the quality of Edusign's services and the security of our platforms and user data.
Privacy and Data Protection
Apps must comply with data protection laws applicable to the target country and users, such as FERPA, COPPA, and GDPR.
Developers must provide a clear privacy policy detailing data collection processes, storage, and sharing practices.
Apps must not collect personal information from users without their explicit consent.
API key permissions must be clearly defined on the app "API key" page and be relevant with the scope of the app.
User Safety and Accessibility
Apps must be free of any content that is offensive, discriminatory, or inappropriate.
Apps should be accessible to all users, including those with disabilities, and comply with accessibility standards such as WCAG.
Features allowing user interaction must be monitored by the the app creator and/or company and have safeguards to prevent bullying and any form abuse.
Technical Performance
- Apps must be free from major bugs and should not cause undue strain on device resources.
- Apps must be compatible with the marketplace's supported operating systems and devices.
- Apps should have a smooth and intuitive user interface, if you are using Edusign placeholders, the interface must comply with our design guidelines.
Support and Maintenance
Developers must provide support for their apps and issue updates for bug fixes and content updates.
Apps should have a clear documentation for troubleshooting and updated customer support contact information.
Advertising and In-App Purchases
Ads, if allowed, must be age-appropriate and not disrupt the global Edusign experience.
Apps that require a paid subscription on the supplier's side must be clearly identified, they shouldn't use predatory pricing or misleading sales tactics toward the users.
Intellectual Property
Apps must respect intellectual property rights and contain only content to which developers have the rights or proper licenses.
Apps must not infringe on any trademarks, copyrights, or patents.
Community Feedback
The app provider should have a mechanism for collecting and addressing user feedback.
Ratings and reviews by users will be considered in the validation process and monitored by our teams.
Compliance with Marketplace Policies
Developers must agree to the marketplace's terms of service and developer agreement.
The marketplace reserves the right to remove apps that violate these rules or that are found to be harmful to users.
Edusign reviewing process
Each app submission will be reviewed by our marketplace's validation team to ensure that these rules are met. Developers may be required to provide additional documentation during the validation process.
Non-compliance with these rules may result in the rejection of the app or removal from the marketplace.
